New appointment system from 1st October

 

  • We are making changes to the way patients make appointments at the practice.
  • FROM 1st OCTOBER, in order to fulfil requirements with national changes to the GP contract, the practice will be using a new system called Patient Triage that allows patients to request GP appointments ONLINE instead of calling the practice by telephone.
  • As well as requesting GP appointments, patients will also be able to use this system to submit requests for test results, sick notes, and other administrative requests.
  • This will all be done via a secure system called AccuRx that we already use for text messaging, and patients will be able to do this by visiting our website and following a few simple steps.
  • Patients will no longer be able to book GP appointments or make routine admin requests by telephone. Our phone lines will remain open for emergencies and for any patients who require assistance with the new appointment system or have any questions or other requests.
  • The practice will remain open as usual for patients to attend.
