Review of our Appointment provision

Dear Patients

We have listened to all of your comments and feedback and we have undertaken a review of our appointment provision.

We are now piloting face to face appointments with a GP from beginning of June 2022. We will continue to offer a variety of access options which include econsultations, online telephone consultation self-booking via the NHS App, online video consultation self-booking via the NHS App and facilitated appointment bookings for those who have access difficulties.

Appointments are released on a rolling schedule for a fairer distribution and a message stating that ‘online consultations are temporarily unavailable’ will appear when capacity has been reached.

All of our Healthcare Assistant (HCA), flu clinic, nursing and phlebotomy appointments remain face-to-face.

As we have always done, urgent problems will be addressed by the On-call Health Professional. Our administration staff are trusted members of the team who adhere to NHS standards of patient confidentiality. As such, you will need to disclose the clinical information in order for the concern to be communicated to the assessing clinician.

If you do not wish to disclose information to our Medical Administrators, please use one of the other methods of booking.

For emergency care please contact NHS111 or attend Accident and Emergency.
